Mr. Jack Delbert Gulledge, age 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving children.
Jack was born in Adairsville, GA on May 5, 1939, son of the late Ernest C. "Mutt" Gulledge, SR. and Rose Mary Clark Gulledge. He was also preceded in death by his son, little Jack D. Gulledge, Jr; wives, Joey Elaine Gulledge, Anita Baker Gulledge, and Betty Phillips Gulledge; brother, Roy Edward Gulledge. He loved God first, his family, and his country. He is a member of Oasis Revival Center in Birchwood, Tennessee, where he served as the door greeter for a number of years. A graduate of Adairsville High School Class of 1957, Jack served in the Beta Club and was honored to play on the first football team, #28. He served his country as a proud Marine from June 12, 1957 to July 19, 1960. Jack also enjoyed his time with the Boy Scouts, where he was one of the first to achieve Eagle Scout in Bartow County. He worked as a chemist and retired from Mannington Carpets. Above all Jack was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Survivors include his sons, Steve and Donna Morrow, Vince and Deborah Gulledge, and Jon Gulledge; daughters, Veronica and Eddie Owens, and Amanda Gulledge Friddell; grandchildren, Sara Morrow Rickett, Russ and Brittany Morrow, Ryan Morrow, Billy Morrow, Blake Gulledge, Eddie and Jessie Owens, Justin and Amber Owens, Harrison and Maggie Owens, Jimmy and Rachel Gravley, Jason Gravley, and Erica and Troy Fox; 28 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ernest C. Gulledge, JR., Randy and Debbie Gulledge, and Johnny and TaRahma Gulledge; sisters, Peggy Hunter, Mary Rose and F. A. Self, Anne Ledford, and Joy and Mike Shugart; a number of nieces and nephews and special caregiver, Debriann Carroll.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM from New Life Ministries, Adairsville with his children, Reverends Amanda Friddell, Steve Morrow, and Vince Gulledge officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville with military honors. Pallbearers will be Ryan Morrow, Jason Gravley, Eddie Owens, Jr., Brandon Gulledge, Brian Mascia, Jesse Goins, and Michael Edwards.
The family will receive friends Monday after 5:00 PM at New Life Ministries, 311 N. Main Street, Adairsville, GA 30103.
