Min. Jack Rob Sellers, age 72, of 135 MLK Drive, Adairsville, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the residence of his daughter.

He was born in Adairsville, July 11, 1941, son of the late Andrew Sellers and Mattaline Cargile Sellers. Mr. Sellers was a member and ministered at the Adairsville Body of Christ Church and had been a truck driver.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the occasional game of softball in his younger years, but loved a good family Bar-B-Que and round of horseshoes. Mr. Sellers was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery McConnell; brother, Al Sellers, Jr; sisters, Betty Jean Richards and Lucy Sellers; uncle, W.H. Curtis, and special parent, Horton Mitchell.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jacqueline Sellers of Adairsville; children, Stanford B. and Vanessa Sellers, Sr. of Calhoun, Bobby Joe Owens of Adairsville, and Denice and Exavier Christian of Adairsville; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Willie and Vickie Carson, Curtis and Cloretta Carson, Tim Carson, Julie and Leon Winters, Patty Birchfield, Ester Diaz, and Nixon Sellers; special parent, Helen Mitchell; aunts, Mary King and Laura B. Akins; goddaughter, Susie Gilbert and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Adairsville Body of Christ with Prophet Richard Harris, Pastor Susie Gilbert, Pastor Robert Carson, Pastor Kenneth Benham, and Elder Greg Harris officiating.  Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of the funeral.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Barton Funeral Home.
