Mr. Jackie Michael Dinning, 76, of Adairsville passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020, at the residence.

He was born in Bartow County, Georgia, July 17, 1944, son of the late Thurman m. Dinning and Myrtle White Dinning. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Jackie worked at Clorox, formerly Union Carbide for 30 plus years before retiring. He was a jokester and loved to tease people. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, going to flea markets, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Inez Abernathy; nieces, Jill McCrory and Michelle Strickland.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Joyce "Wanell" Abernathy Dinning, son, Ken (Glenda) Dinning of Fairmount; daughters, Carol Collins of Cartersville, Sandy (Mark) Wallace of Adairsville, and Karen (Grant) Springfield of Adairsville; grandchildren, Logan Tant, Dylan Tant, Nathan Tant, Amber Wallace, Dustin (Lexi) Wallace, Jonathan (Michelle) Dinning, Emily (Austin) Nimon, Alex Collins, Brandon Collins, Samantha (Perry) Young, Kelsey (Dylan) Shipman; 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Following Covid19 guidelines with social distancing and required mask, funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 3:00 PM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Adairsville with Rev. Gary Hibberts, Rev. Brent Tatum, and Rev. Billy Harris officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until the hour of the funeral at the church. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will include Logan Tant, Dylan Tant, Nathan Tant, Dustin Wallace, Jeremy Jones, Justin Jones, Don Tidwell, and Derrick McFarland. Honorary pallbearers will include, Marvin Tanner, Dewayne Everett, Hoyt Nelson, Jerry Jones, Kenneth King, Donny Lowery, Johnny Forsyth, and Tom Milsap.
