Mr. James Ralph Dinning, 79, of Highway 140, Adairsville passed away Friday, May 30, 2014.

Mr. Dinning was born in Adairsville, Georgia, November 15, 1934, son of the late Thomas Glenn Dinning and Mamie Lou Self Dinning. He was a member of Ooothcalooga Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Dinning was also a master mechanic and enjoyed gospel singing. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Thomas Dinning.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Dinning of Adairsville; children, George and Judy Dinning of Deltona, FL, Amber and John Schrader of Austin, TX, Kathy and Brian Pugsley of Torrington, WY, and James and Sandy Johnson of Eustis, FL; stepchildren, Barbara and Albert Edwards of Calhoun and Ann and Daniel Davis of Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Lorene and Jack Willis of Adairsville; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 2014, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville with military honors.

The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
