Mr. James Richard Greene, age 84, of Cartersville, passed away peacefully December 3, 2025. Richard was born April 18,1941 to the late Lola Ruth Allison Greene and Harris Richard Greene.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ann Adams Greene; son, George Bradley Greene and wife Dawn; daughters, Lori Ann Mitchell and husband Billy and Jennifer Lynn Truelove and husband Zach; eight grandchildren, Holly Mitchell, Adam Greene (Shelby), Matthew Greene (Gracie), Addie Greene, Sophie Mitchell, Myles Mitchell, Murphy Truelove, and Micah Truelove.

Richard worked for Lockheed for over 41 years, retiring twice only to return as a subcontractor to work in Data Systems. Richard had a short list of lifelong hobbies which included genealogy, coin and stamp collecting.

Honoring Richard's wishes, he will be cremated with a private memorial service to be held at a later date.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. James Richard Greene.
