Mr. James William "Little Jimmy" Hartness, Jr., age 54, of Pine Ridge Court, Cartersville passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Mr. Hartness was born in Ringgold, GA, on September 18, 1962, son of Jimmy William Hartness, Sr. and the late Eva Joyce Haynes. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved spending time with family and friends and taking trips to the mountains. He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, Edgar and Ruth Haynes and Charles "Doc" Hartness and Anita Carr Hartness.

Survivors include his father, Jimmy Hartness, Sr. and special friend, Lynda Haynes; aunts and uncles, Laura Jo Burgess, Ronnie Hartness, Richard Hartness, Angie McKinnon, Betty Kaigler, Bobbie Grottem, Marshall Haynes, and Anne Haynes Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20 at 2:00 PM the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Tunnel Hill, GA.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
