Mr. James Franklin Tucker, Jr., age 78, of White, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence Tuesday, January 16, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

James was born in Albermarle, North Carolina, July 4, 1945, son of the late James Franklin Tucker and Pauline Henson Tucker. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Amorelle Tucker, Paula Smith, and Kenny Tucker. James was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Albermarle, NC and attended Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Adairsville, GA. He retired a cable technician from Southern Bell / AT & T. James was happiest when he was on the water and had a fishing pole in his hand. He adored his family, especially his grandchildren. James was the best husband, father, and papa in the whole wide world.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Yvonne Stalcup Tucker; sons, Jeffrey Scott Tucker (Deborah Fuller) and Kelly Dean Tucker (Christina Bryant); daughter-in-law, Kim Tucker; grandchildren, Josy Shepherd (Devon Parker), Jesy Tucker (Casey Mitchell), Emmy Rose Tucker, Piper Tucker, and Kody Greene; great -grandchildren, Kinsley Shepherd, Kimberlyn Shepherd, Jensen Parker, Freyja West, Jeremy Tucker, Temperance Mitchell, Maleah Mitchell and Abigail Greene; several nieces and nephews.

Honoring James's wishes he will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
