Mrs. Janet "Jan" Suzy Higgins Hicks, age 61, of 132 Old Highway 140, NW, Adairsville, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at her residence.

Mrs. Hicks was born in Rome, Georgia, March 7, 1949, daughter of the late Herschel Frank and Callie Faye Smith Higgins. She was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church and had been a Registered Nurse at Redmond Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed shopping and caring for children.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Hicks of Adairsville; a daughter, Robin Bramblett of Acworth; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Kimberly Hicks of Adairsville and Stetson and Pam Hicks of Adairsville; 3 brothers, Dean Higgins of Adairsville, Dudley Higgins of Kentucky, and Danny Higgins of Adairsville; 2 grandchildren, Amber Bramblett and Adam Bramblett.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Morris Bearden officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Adairsville.

Pallbearers will be Paxton Boswell, Jerry Boswell, Brent Higgins, Barry Higgins, Ben Stiles, Ricky Howell, Tony Smith, and Timmy Bramblett. Adam Bramblett and Stetson Hicks will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
