Obituary
Mrs. Janie L. Morris Gatlin, age 81, of Polk City, FL, passed away September 15, 2011 at the residence.
She was born in Kingston, GA, April 13, 1930, daughter of the late James C. and Lucy Ghorley Morris. Mrs. Gatlin was a member of Stoner Chapel Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Gatlin, Sr.; and 2 daughters, Barbara Jean and Sue Gatlin.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Louise Childress of Bean Station, TN, Connie and Gerald West of Lakeland, FL, and Charlotte and Mike Smith of Rutledge, TN; a son Ralph Gatlin, Jr., of Polk City, FL; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mae James of Adairsville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Stoner Chapel Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. Gary Jarrett officiating. Interment will follow in Stoner Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at Stoner Chapel Baptist Church, Adairsville.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Janie Gatlin.
