IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jazlene "Jazzy"
Carter
January 14, 2021 – August 28, 2023
Jazlene Alissa Carter gained her angel wings August 28, 2023, at Egleston Hospital after her valiant battle here on Earth.
Jazlene's life began in Rome, Georgia on January 14, 2021. Not long after coming into this world everyone found themselves calling her "Jazzy", a fitting nickname for her bright, sassy, spunky personality. She loved people within a social distance but if she was comfortable with you she'd be sure to always greet you with a fist bump or high five, especially to her sibling's sports teams who she loved to interact with in the dugouts and cheer from the sidelines. At those tournaments you'd find her snacking, playing with bubbles and practicing her own softball skills. Talking on the phone, playing with water and "reading" books were her jam, particularly Pete the Cat. Oh, how she loved to attend physical therapy, go to school and practice her art skills, sing and dance with her sister and rough house with her brother. She was such a smart and funny girl, well-mannered and yet would quickly let you know how she felt whether it was sweet or aggressive, in true "Sour Patch Kid" fashion. Although her time was short, Jazzy touched the lives of many people in more ways than one and will never be forgotten.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her devoted parents, Jackie Tremail Carter and Teresa "Reeszy" Carter; the best brother and sister, Marquis Carter and Julissa Carter; loving nanny, Darlene Carter Bryant; abuelo, José Acosta; aunts, Tarraka King, Sabrina Granados, and Blanca Acosta Hernandez; uncle, Nestor Acosta, several family friends who are the epitome of "family", favorite big cousin Tyvon "TaTa" Henderson, other cousins including but not limited to, Christina King, Dovahkiin Dawson, some other extended relatives, teachers, friends, and caring nurses, doctors and other healthcare workers who worked around the clock to care for her.
She was greeted in Heaven by her grandma, Rhonda Granados; uncles, Johnny Washington and Blake King; great-grandmother, Shirley McAfee and great-grandparents, Richard and Dawn Ames.
