Mr s . Jean Lois Ellis Deacon , soon to be 95 , of Adairsville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednes day, November 30 , 2022.

She was born in Cottingham, Yorkshire , England , December 13, 1927 , daughter of the late Richard Lister and Clara Ellen Lois B inns Lister . She was also preceded in death by her husband , William " Bill" Ellis; daughter, Lynn Kent; late husband, Wayne Roland Deacon; and brother, Robert Lister . She was a member of Brainard Baptist Church and had attend ed Adairsville Christian Church and Farmville United Methodist Church . Jean worked as an LPN for several years with Dr. Charles Richards, Gordon Hospital, Floyd Medical Center, and Cherokee Nursing Home. She later went to work for Georgia Power where she retired. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother who adored her family.

Survivors include h er children, Kara ( Ted ) Gilbert, Janet Ellis (Bob Shaw) , Jill ( Chris ) Brown, and Pam Ellis; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Fri day, December 2 , 2022, at 1: 0 0PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Min. Danny Pelfrey officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. P allbearers will be Zac Maddix, Seth King, Ryan Brown, Chris Culberson, Jake Kennedy, Jeff Lidke, Connor Howe and Do w is Satterfield.

The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Barton Funeral Home.
