Mrs. Jean Dysart West, age 75, of Pleasant Valley Road, Adairsville, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Cartersville Medical Center.

Mrs. West was born in Bartow County, Georgia, November 22, 1939, daughter of the late J.P. Dysart and Emma Davis Dysart. Mrs. West or "Granny" as most would call her, was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and had retired from Outboard Marine Corp after seventeen years. She loved spending time with her family, was an avid reader, and enjoyed her dogs, Krissy and Cricket. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Lisa and Vonda West, and sister, Terri Dysart.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Jimmy West of Adairsville; son, Blaine Thomas West of Adairsville, granddaughter, Charley West of Adairsville, and great-granddaughter, Emmersyn Green of Adairsville; brothers and sisters, Linda Inman, Mickey Dysart, Bobby Dysart, and Tammy Curtis; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Mr. Heath Dysart officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Jamey Inman, Jon Inman, Kyle Dysart, Heath Dysart, Chris Dysart, and Josh Dysart will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Mrs. West to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
