Mrs. Jeanette Blaylock Barton, age 81, of Railroad Street, Adairsville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 11, 2015.

She was born in Adairsville, GA, November 19, 1933, daughter of the late Clarence Earwood and Lillie Mae Poole Earwood. She was member of the First Christian Church in Adairsville. In the 1960's Mrs. Barton and her husband Donald were charter members of the West Rome Christian Church. She started her career in the medical field in 1952 as a lab and x-ray technician and then later started her own business as a medical examiner for insurance companies. She also volunteered at Cartersville Medical Center and worked in the gift shop. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Donald Blaylock, and late husband, Ray Barton; brother, Harold Earwood.

Survivors include her children Gary and Pam Blaylock of Adairsville, Brenda and Roger Bailey of Adairsville, and Ricky and Leighann Blaylock of Plainville; step-children, Leroy Barton, Alan Barton, David Barton, Wendy and Donnie Mealer, and Tracy and Shane Griffin all of Adairsville; grandchildren, Janet Thibodeau, Brandi and Michael New, and Amanda Bailey and Brandon McClendon; great-grandchildren, Jaylon, Connor, Chloe, and Addison; sister-in-law, Martha Blaylock of Rome;and several step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the First Christian Church, Adairsville, with Ministers Danny Pelfrey and George Pevey officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, Rome.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
