Jeanette McDonald Lochridge, affectionately known as “Net”, age 87, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family.

Jeanette was born on February 13, 1939, in Adairsville, Georgia, daughter of the late, Fairie Frances Herod McDonald and Emmett Raymond McDonald, She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred Anderson Lochridge; sister, Dorothy L Lockridge; and brothers, E.R. “Buddy” McDonald and C. L. McDonald.

She is survivied by her beloved children, Sandra Lochridge Kimsey (Randy), Gay Lochridge Stiles, and Dawn Lochridge; grandchildren, Don Massey, Jr.(Melanie), Lance Kimsey (Ciara), Melissa Barrackman (Joe), Charles Stiles (Stephanie), Jeffery Wade (Brianne), and Annalea McBride; great-grandchildren, Everly Massey, Isla Massey, Keeley Massey, Addy Kimsey, Kara Kimsey, Kelsey Barrackman, Konnor Barrackman, Morgan Stiles, Carson Stiles, Lydia Wade, and Emma Wade; great-great grandchildren, Jessie Stiles and Nettie McBride; several nieces and nephews.

Jeanette was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who cherished her family immensely. She found great joy in caring for the children in her life as they came along, always opening her heart and her home to them. She cared for not only her own children and grandchildren, but for many others as well, earning the loving name of “Momma” and “Nanny” to so many.

Jeanette worked at Union Carbide and Battles Food before retiring from Walmart Deli. She was a devoted Atlanta Braves fan and was a past member of Euharlee Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Above all, Jeanette will be remembered for her caring heart, generous spirit, and the love she freely gave to her family and everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was truly a special woman whose love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Cartersville with Rev. Eddie Davenport officiating. Pallbearers include, Don Massey Jr., Lance Kimsey, Kenny Gravitte, Tony McDonald, Stephen McDonald, Jeffery Wade, and Charles Stiles.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Jeanette McDonald Lochridge.
