Jeffery Scott Duvall, age 57, of Cartersville, GA, passed away peacefully, January 28, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving wife and family.

He was born in Bartow County, August 31, 1967, son of the late Rev. Albert Duvall and Ruth Holmes Duvall.  He worked at Chemical Products for 17 years and Koch foods for the past 21 until his health declined. He was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Clerk. He loved life, his family, and most of all his Lord and Savior. Scott would brighten any room he entered with his smile and crazy sense of humor, and he lived and breathed fishing. To know him was to love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Anthony Duvall; father-in-law, Charles Hight; and brother-in-law, Mike Kiser.

Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 36 years, Junia Hight Duvall; sister, Kathy Kiser; niece and nephews, that he thought the sun rose and set in, Tiffanie Duvall (Christi), Luke Holcomb (Ali), Chaz Hight (Mary) and Britt Hight; great-niece, Oaklynn Hight; mother-in-law, June Hight; and brother-in-law, Chuck Hight (Joy).

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Reverends Kenneth Rainwater, Alan (Alpo) Huskins, David Young, David Summey, Ricky Sanford officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luke Holcomb, Chaz Hight, Chuck Hight, Tim Duvall, Doug White, Chris Holmes, Brad Holmes, Britt Hight and Jason Costlow. Honorary pallbearers include Darrell Elrod, Shane Bramblett, Chuck Nichols, Jack Darnell, Derrick Lanham and Tim Mathis.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Barton Funeral Home.
