Mrs. Jerrel Dean Gwin "Jerry" Whitworth, age 73, of 74 East 23rd Street, Holland, MI, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at Resthaven Care Center, Holland, MI.

She was born in Adairsville, GA, December 24, 1937 daughter of the late James Thomas and Annie Lee Parker Gwin. Mrs. Whitworth was a member of Adairsville United Methodist Church, had been employed for a number of years at Harbin Clinic, Rome and later retired as an administrative assistant from Berry College. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James M. Whitworth.

Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Gwin and John Culberson of Shannon, Susan and Tom Bell of Holland, MI; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Peggy Gwin of Rome; 2 grandchildren, Lee (Jessica) Baxter and Meredith Baxter; a great-granddaughter, Olivia Becker.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the Adairsville United Methodist Church with Rev. Skip Mitchell and Rev. Tom Bridges officiating. The body will lie-in-state at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour on Monday. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville.

Pallbearers will be John Culberson, Dave Mussio, Tom Bell, and Lee Baxter.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
