Mr. Jerry C. Edwards, age 81, of Adairsville passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, August 9, 2023.

He was born in the Folsom Community, December 16, 1941, son of the late J. C. "Chess" Edwards and Bessie Johnson Edwards. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Inez Peace Edwards; great-granddaughter, Lacey Renee Edwards; brothers, James Melvin Edwards and Dwight Allen Edwards; and sister, Helen Gayton. Mr. Edwards was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jerry was a simple man, he enjoyed sitting on his porch and taking rides through the country.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mark Edwards and Sherrie Redd Edwards; grandson, Zachary and Chelsey Edwards; great-granddaughters, Mazlie and Whitley Edwards, brother, David Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Barry Adcock officiating. Interment will follow in the Hayes Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be Zachary Edwards, Chesley Edwards, Todd Edwards, Michael Edwards, Derek Edwards, and Brian Adcock.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
