Mrs. Jessie "Marilyn" Fowler, age 84, of Big Springs Road, Calhoun passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at her residence

She was born in Copper Hill, TN, November 11, 1931, daughter of the late Amos and Edith Tallent. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church of Calhoun. She cherished time with her family, and enjoyed sewing and gardening. Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill Tallent, Bob Tallent, and Mack Tallent; and sister, Kathleen Styles.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jack Fowler of Calhoun; sons and daughter-in-law, Kris Fowler of Calhoun and Scott and Melanie Fowler of Calhoun; grandchildren, Josh and Brittany Fowler, Kimberly and Joe Kassin, Brittany Fowler, Becky Caldwell, and Aly Caldwell; great-grandchildren, Peyton Fowler, Andrew Fowler, and Wyatt Dover; sister, Erlene Helton of Murphy, NC and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 3:00 PM from Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Calhoun with Rev. Keith Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Fidelle Cemetery. Pallbearers include Greg Tallent, Josh Fowler, Joe Kassin, Todd Rutledge, Joe Farriba, and Kenneth Farriba.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Calhoun.
