Obituary

Mr. Jimmy Johnathan Blackmon, age 34, of 143 Connesena Road, Kingston, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the residence.

Mr. Blackmon was born in Cartersville, GA, on April 11, 1983, son of Carolyn Ann Pool and Jimmy Ray Blackmon. He had worked for Zep as a line operator, was a member of Connesena Baptist Church in Kingston, loved to sing, and also loved giving his time to the community. He was preceded in death by a brother, Hank Blackmon and grandparents, J. R and Geneva Blackmon.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Ford Blackmon of Kingston; stepdaughters, Faith and Charity McClure, who he loved as his own, of Kingston; parents, Carolyn Ann and Brian Pool of Cartersville and Jimmy Ray Blackmon of Kingston; brother, Shaun Blackmon of Cartersville; sister, Tonya Nicole Blackmon of Cartersville; grandparents, John and Carol Smith of Euharlee; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carol and Cecil Ford of Kingston; several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 11 at 2:00 pm at Connesena Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shaun Blackmon, Zach Pool, John Ellis, Guoxin Hu, Steven Williams, and Adam Smith. Honorary Pallbearer will be Ray Neighbors.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
