Mr. Jimmy Earl Bryant, Jr., age 25, of 525 Peters Street, Calhoun, GA, passed away Monday evening, November 12, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Cartersville, GA, December 31, 1986, son of Rebecca Collum Gay and Jimmy Earl Bryant. He was a member of Adairsville Baptist Church. Mr. Bryant was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and of NASCAR racing. He also loved fishing. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Earl Bryant, Sr.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Rebecca Collum Gay and Curtis Gay of Calhoun; a sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and Jimmy Black of Calhoun; 2 brothers, Tony Collum of Cartersville, and Clay Bryant of Adairsville; grandparents, Roy and Joyce Collum, Sr., of Calhoun, and Jenny Collum of Cartersville; a special aunt and uncle, Myrtle and Eddie Elrod of Kingston; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Kenny Moore and Rev. Keith Guyton officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery, Cartersville. Cole Bryant, Tucker Bryant, Clay Bryant, Tony Collum, Brandon Moore and Nick Moore will serve as pallbearers while his uncles will be honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
