Mr. Jimmy Edwin Lee, of Adairsville Georgia, passed away at home on November 13, 2020 after a long battle with brain cancer and other complications. He has been on hospice care at home since July 2020. His wife Joan, was his caretaker.

He was preceded in death his parents, Willie and Rose Lee of Citra Florida and a sister, Jean Wilson of Alton Missouri.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joan Lee; his sons, Roger (Galina) Lee and Michael (Kerith) Lee; and granddaughter Annabel Lee; he is also survived by his brother, George Lee, Harold (Patsy) Lee, Donald (Lilli) Lee, and Stanley (Jill) Lee; and his sisters, Sandra Smith and Edith (Stephen) Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He served in the U. S. Army at the USMA, West Point, NY, from 1966-1968. after his discharge from the Army, he worked at Lockheed Martin, Sears, and The Home Depot, and he retired from The Home Depot in April 2018. He had a very strong work ethic, having worked on his family farm in Citra, Florida until he left home to attend Southern Technical Institute in Marietta, Georgia, from which he graduated in 1965.

He had a strong faith in God, and he was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather (Papa), and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Due to the CoVid-19 pandemic and the risks involved, and concern for the safety of others, he is being cremated, and a memorial service will be planned at a later date.
