Mr. Jimmy Lee Phillips, 58, of Squire Drive, Calhoun, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the residence.
He was born in Cartersville, GA, June 3, 1956, son of the late Maxwell Phillips, Sr and Pearline McIntyre Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He loved being with his family and was an avid fisher. He was preceded in death by his brother, Maxwell Phillips, Jr and sister, Linda Pratt.
Survivors include his sisters and brothers-in-law, Geraldine and James Stone of Calhoun and Betty and Doug Harris of Adairsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Barbara Phillips of Calhoun, Johnny and Frances Phillips of Cartersville, Roy Phillips of Adairsville, and David Phillips of Cartersville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 18, 2014, at 4:00 PM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Adairsville with Rev. Roy Johnson, Rev. Michael Phillips, and Rev. Brent Tatum officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Church cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be Mark Phillips, Roger Phillips, Darrell Cole, Steven Cole, Gary Phillips, and Chris Edwards. Honorary pallbearers include Devin Cole, Dawson Cole, Donny Lowery, and Clay Crump.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM at Barton Funeral Home.
