Mr. John Hue Bowen, age 81, of Adairsville, GA, passed away, June 25, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Bowen was born in Enville, Tennessee, on November 29, 1931, son of the late, Ezra and Lillie Asbell Bowen. He was one of thirteen children and the last one to go on to be with our Heavenly Father. He was a master mechanic and also an auto body technician. Mr. Bowen enjoyed spending time with his family and loved eating tacos. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and mother of his children, Florence Marie Jessee Bowen, and 12 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by 5 sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Pat Bowen of Adairsville, Donald Lee and Pam Bowen of San Diego, CA, Dawayne Hubert and Lois Bowen of Adairsville, Jerome Dale and Sandra Bowen of Adairsville, Kevin James Bowen of Adairsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Richard Lind of Adairsville; a step-daughter, Erica Richardson; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer (Damon) Kilgore, John(Valerie) Bowen, Jeremy Bowen, Reggie (Alishia) Bragg, Jenna (Timothy) Bryant, Marley Bowen, Jessie Lind, and Shawn Lind; 6 great-grandchildren, Madison Kilgore, Catharine Bowen, Anna Bowen, McKinley Bragg, Bowen Bryant and Jack Bryant; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 4:00 PM at North Pointe Church, Adairsville with Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. John Hue Bowen.
