Mr. John Henry Frix, age 84, of Adairsville passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, January 9, 2024, at Gordon Health and Rehab.

John was born February 22, 1939, in Adairsville, Georgia to the late William Fred Frix, Sr. and Mamie Allene Howell Frix. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Alan Frix; brothers, James Tony Frix, William Fred Frix, Jr. (Winnie), and Rev. Robert Loy Frix; and sisters, Ivanell Lewis and Sara Hogan (Larry). Mr. Frix was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed listening to gospel music. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his younger years he really enjoyed fishing and bowling.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Al and Wanda Frix; granddaughter, Ashley Brooke Frix; sister, Daisy and Wendell Gilreath; brother-in-law, Bill Lewis; sister-in-law, Gloria Frix and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers include Jerry Frix, Terry Frix, Tim Frix, Stephen Frix, Roger Gilreath, and Rodney Gilreath. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Lewis, Bryson Frix, Josh Hubert, Perry Frix and John Frady.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
