Mr. John "Gray" Trimble, III, age 55, of Marietta, passed away Friday morning, July 31, 2015.

Mr. Trimble was born in Atlanta, GA, December 17, 1959, son of John Gray Trimble, Jr. and the late Sidney Barton Trimble. He attended Georgia Tech and was a senior technical manager for AT & T. He was an amazing devoted husband and father, Gray was blessed with a large loving family that loved him for his big heart, wittiness, and determination. Also a sports fanatic and avid basketball fan, he enjoyed watching the ACC, Atlanta Hawks, and most of all, his daughter, Maggie. He was preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-five years, Kathleen Trimble of Marietta; daughter, Maggie Trimble of Marietta; father, John Trimble, Jr and Patsy Trimble of Adairsville; sisters, Beth and Greg Johnson of Peachtree City, Amy Dunn of Peachtree City, and Mari and Jon Fortin of Calhoun; nephews and nieces, Michael Johnson, Brian Johnson, Kirby Dunn, Sidney Fortin, and Reagan Fortin.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Father Philip Scott and Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Honorary pallbearers include John Trimble, Jr., Harry McMahon, Benson Barton, Louis Barton, Greg Johnson, Jon Fortin, Michael Johnson, Brian Johnson, Kirby Dunn, Robert Dudley Barton, Matt Barton, Joe Barton, Ben Barton, Luke Barton, Bart Barton, Rick McMahon, Joe McMahon, and Brian McMahon.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
