Mr. John "Randy" Waldon, 57, of 205 Callaway Club Drive, Rockmart passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013 at his sisters' residence after a courageous battle against cancer.

Mr. Waldon was born in Cincinnati, OH, February 12, 1956, son of the late, John David and Ruby Boswell Waldon. He was a member of Snow Springs Baptist Church and had worked as a Federal Certified Blaster at Waldon Rock Drilling and Blasting. Mr. Waldon was a master carpenter, certified scuba diver, and diehard UGA Bulldogs fan. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, and landscaping and tropical gardening. He could be found most Wednesday nights hanging out with friends at Danny Fergusson's garage for weekly cookouts. He is preceeded in death by his parents; a brother Richard F. Webb and a nephew, Johnny Ray Brock.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Waldon of Rockmart; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Hillery Waldon of Calhoun and Blake Waldon of Rockmart; 2 grandsons, Landon and Branson Waldon; a brother , Ronnie Waldon of Crystal River, FL; 2 sisters, Mary Ann Brock of Adairsville and Darlene Payne of Adairsville; and nieces and nephew.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Snow Springs Baptist Church, Adairsville with Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
