Mrs. Johnnie Mae Dillard Lanham, age 89, of Rome, passed away Monday evening, July 27, 2015 at Floyd Hospital.

Mrs. Lanham was born in Gordon County, September 5, 1925, daughter of the late John William Dillard and Cora Mae Bagley Dillard. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and managed Kay's Kastle Ice Cream for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and loved her family, always willing to lend a helping hand. Mrs. Lanham was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lillian Crump, Aileen Pendley, Eddie Bell Pelfrey, Louise Carden, Lenora Brock, Annie Reece Sticher, and Kathleen Moore Conaway; and brothers, Gene Dillard, Herman Dillard, Clinton Dillard and Sam Dillard.

Survivors include daughters, Patricia Diane Lanham of Rome, and Wanda Gayle Freeman of Anderson, SC; granddaughter, Brittany Danielle Freeman, of Anderson, SC; great granddaughter, Caroline Grace Freeman; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 31 2015 at 2:00PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, with Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be Kerry Caldwell, Randy Brock, Ben Prevost, Matthew Pinson, Terry Pelfrey, Joey Pelfrey, Keith Pelfrey, and Steve Dillard. Honorary pallbearer will be Donald Brock.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Barton Funeral Home.
