Mrs. Josie Ann Bailey, age 67, of Kingston, passed away peacefully February 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Josie was born in Rockmart, GA, December 13, 1956, daughter of the late Doyle Carroll and Lucille Ann Nix Carroll. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Fred Carroll. Josie was a member of Shannon Church of God.  She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, and playing softball. She adored her grandchildren and was always there to cheer them on. Josie was a very loving and caring person who will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Bobby Joe Bailey; children, Bobby Dewayne Bailey and wife Shawna, Daniel Joe Bailey, and Dana Ellis and husband Kris; grandchildren, Dustin Bailey and wife Maddie, Bradley Bailey, Wesley Bailey, Kaylei Bailey, Wyatt Ellis, and River Ellis; brother, Ray Carroll; sister, Vicki Cleveland; sister-in-law, Wanda Lynch; brother-in-law, Edward Bailey and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2:00PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. William Ford officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers include T. J. Turner, Nick Sellers, Landon Carroll, Michael Carroll, Keith Jones, and Jeff Ross. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Bailey, Bradley Bailey and Wesley Bailey.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
