Mr s . Joyce Elaine Baker , age 7 6 , of, Cartersville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, December 11, 2022.

Sh e was born in Cartersville, Georgia, June 27, 1946 , daughter of the late Ernest Patterson Gray and Bessie Lee Black Gray . Joyce was also preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Amos Baker; brothers, Duane Gray, Ernie Gr a y, James Patterson Gray, and Clinton "Bodie" Gray; sister, Hazel Cothran . Mr s . Baker was a member Union Grove Baptist Church in Calhoun and a retired bus driver for the Bartow County School System. She enjoyed sitting out on her front porch and getting out to go shopping. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister, who loved her family dearly.

Survivors include her children, Michael Nathan Baker and wife, Michelle of Cartersville, Tammy Baker Edwards of Cartersville and Justin Baker and wife Heather of Adairsville; grandchildren, Nick Baker, Maddie Baker, Kellan Edwards, Dylan Baker, Mackenzie Baker, Carleigh Baker, and Ella Baker ; great-grandson, Jaxon Long; brother, Wendell Gray and wife Debra; sisters, Carolyn L aw and Glenda Martin and husband Terry; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thurs day, December 15, 20 22, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Reverends Ronnie Cowart and Joel Alexander officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00PM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednes day from 5:00 PM until 7 :00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
