Mrs. Joyce Faye Cannon, age 67, of Gaines Loop, Rome passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at her residence.

She was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, May 9, 1948, daughter of the late Leon Mason and Thelma Bradley Mason. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church. Mrs. Cannon enjoyed doing crafts and sewing, going bowling, and watching the humming birds and squirrels outside. She most loved spending time with all of her family. She was preceded in death by parents and brother, Clyde Mason.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-nine years, David Cannon, Sr. of Rome; children, Tammy (Russ) Barlow of Cartersville, Lee (Stacie) Cox of Rome, Tim (Amy) Cox of Plantation, FL, Trina (Chastain) Moss of Ranger, Jimmy (Vicky) Grainger of Myrtle Beach, SC, Melissa (Carlin) Weathers, Spartanburg, SC, David Cannon, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC, Dana Paige of Spartanburg, SC, and Davina Hayes of Spartanburg, SC; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, John Mason; sisters, Patricia Brinkley, Shirley Little, Betty Cox, and Mary Scott; and her sweet puppy dogs, JoJo and Taco.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at 12:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Minister Lee Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be Tim Cox, Lee Cox, Jimmy Grainger, Chastain Moss, Timmy Cox, Russ Barlow, Chastain Moss, III, and David Cox.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 12:00PM at Barton Funeral Home.
