Obituary

Mrs. Margaret Juanita Sparks Everett, beloved wife and mother, age 79, of 610 Adairsville Pleasant Valley Rd, Adairsville, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Redmond Regional Medical Center, Rome.

She was born in Adairsville, GA, June 21, 1931, daughter of the late Elijah and Beulah Hayes Sparks. Mrs. Everett was a member of Stoner Chapel Baptist Church and was the last survivor of her family, her parents, 2 brothers, Ralph and Johnny Sparks, and 2 sisters, Willie Mae Carney and Virginia Poarch Edwards having preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dewitt Everett, who cared for her so wonderfully for 15 years after she was paralyzed by cancer; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Pam Everett and Dwayne and Marie Everett; 3 grandsons, Justin and Amanda Everett, Joshua and Ashley Everett, and Adam Everett; a great-grandson, Rylan Everett; a step-granddaughter, Shannon Payne Ertzberger and Josh Ertzberger and 2 step-great grandsons, Ethan and Grayson Belcher.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Stoner Chapel Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. David Baker, Rev. Kenny Rogers, and Rev. Larry Hibberts officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, Adairsville.

Pallbearers will be Justin Everett, Josh Everett, Adam Everett, Gary Evans, Mike Brown, Donnie Lowery, Lee Voils, and Jerry Hufstetler. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Watkins, Carl Gay, Terry Defoor, Fred Budzius, Dillard Abernathy, Earl Abernathy, Ladell Mealer, Michael Sparks, and Johnny Forsyth.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Margaret Juanita Everett.
