Mrs. Juanita Jane West, age 77, of 8423 New Calhoun Road, Adairsville, passed away Sunday evening, October 21, 2012, at Redmond Regional Medical Center

Mrs. West was born in Gordon County, Georgia, October 19, 1935, daughter of the late Marvin Burnette and Willie Mae Sharp Burnette. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Plainville. Mrs. West had a passion for cooking and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Carl Ricky West and granddaughter, Menissa Manning.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Carl Donald West of Adairsville; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Eddie Manning of Plainville, Deborah and Lanny Wilson of Adairsville, and Cheryl and Danny Moore of Adairsville; 8 grandchildren, Jason Manning, Celena Miller, Kevin Manning, Glenn Wilson, Jennifer Wilson, Christy West, Heather Minor, and Austin Moore; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Harold Burnette of Scottsville Community and Glenn Burnette of Rome; 2 sisters, Becky Garland of Adairsville, and Brenda Fowler of Adairsville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Adairsville Church of God with Pastor Ken Coomer officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
