Obituary

Mrs. Judy Ann James Parks, age 71, of Adairsville, GA, passed away peacefully Sunday morning February 1, 2026, at 3:33 AM, surrounded by her loved ones

Judy was born in Columbus, GA on February 19, 1954, to the late Ruby Oneida Mulkey James and Paul Edwards James. Judy was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and caring sister whose life was rooted in faith and family. A faithful member of the Baptist faith, she lived with kindness, compassion, and love for those around her. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially visiting thrift stores, spending time outdoors, and working in her flower garden. She will be remembered for her love of sunflowers, warmth, her gentle heart, and the love she shared so freely with her family.

Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Billy Parks; beloved daughters, Loria Swan (Dale), Mary Baxter (David), and Christi Brock (Mark); grandchildren, Emily Parks, Cassie Prather, Selena Parks, Ethan Parks, Joey Baxter (Kayla), Haley Baxter (Anthony Atkinson), Alexis Burns (Dustin), Amber Perez, Little Robert Brown, and Timothy Brown; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Johnson and several nieces and nephews

Honoring Judy’s wishes she will be cremated with a memorial service held at a later date.
