Mr. Kelly Wayne Waters, loving son, father, grandfather, brother and friend, age 43, of Cartersville, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 27, 2024. Kelly was born in Cullman, Alabama, September 24, 1980, son of Randy Jarald Waters and Brenda Kay Hitt Waters. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy Joe Hitt and Crandford Lee Waters and Leona Beatrice Waters.

Family was the most important thing to Kelly. He loved spending time together, especially with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outside. Kelly was the type that was always piddling, he needed to be doing something. He had a heart of gold, was humble and gracious, and never met a stranger. Kelly was genuinely a good person to everyone, would give the shirt off his back and go out of his way to help anyone in need. The countless stories that have been told about his selfless acts of kindness will be cherished by his family. Kelly will forever be missed.

Survivors include his beloved children, Kaleb Lee Waters, Kaylee Lynn Waters, Tiffany Nicole Anderson, and Keziah Evelyn Evans; bonus son, Ethan Walker Evans; grandchildren, Kaiden Wayne Waters, Kaylynn Ann Waters, and Kynlee Grace Waters; parents, Randy and Brenda Waters; grandmother, Mattie Carolyn Hitt; sisters, Kimberly Ann Waters and Kari Michelle Waters; nephew, Bryson J. Chatmon; uncle, Michael Joe Hitt; cousins, Kevin Hitt and Terry Waters; and an abundance of dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Ronnie Cowart officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be David Vaughn, Jimmy Beavers, Nathan Chapman, Chris James, Michael Parker, and Tony Dover. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathon Jacobs, Jeremiah Spence, and Tony Stiles.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
