Mr. Kerry Lee Cosby, age 69, of Highway 140, Adairsville, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Cosby was born in Douglasville, GA, April 17, 1947, son of the late Lee Oren Cosby and Irene Horsley Cosby. Mr. Cosby was a member at Plainview Baptist Church and was a truck driver for over 50 years. He was a member of the Taylorsville John W. Akin Masonic Lodge #537 and honorary member at the Euharlee Masonic Lodge #457, Adairsville Masonic Lodge #168, East Floyd Masonic Lodge #728, and Kingston Masonic Lodge #394. He loved taking his grandchildren fishing and enjoyed working on old tractors. Mr. Cosby is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Pat Cosby of Adairsville; children, Troy (Melanie) Cosby, Tina (Scott) Bitner, Gary Cosby, Stephen (Graciela) Hegedus, Michael (Kimberly) Cosby, and Cherie (Jeremy) Lawley; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy (Larry) Burgess.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 6, 2016, at 2:00 PM from Plainview Baptist Church, Adairsville with Rev. Randy Jackson officiating. The body will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 1:00 PM until 2:00PM. Interment will follow in Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic grave rites. Plainview Baptist Church is located at 1587 Plainview Rd SE, Adairsville, GA 30103.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
