Obituary

Mr. Larry Paul Carver, age 72, of Adairsville, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family.

He was born in Calhoun, GA, June 16, 1952, son of the late Harry R. Carver and Essie Mae Greene Carver. Larry was also preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Jerry Carver; sisters, Phyllis Carver, Shirley Caldwell, and Mary Watson; father-in-law, Bobby W. Edwards. He was a member at Sunnyside Baptist Church.

A lifelong carpenter and builder, Larry was never afraid of a little hard work and imparted this character and skill on many young men who worked with him through the years. He loved farming and raising animals, from horses to dogs and everything in between and to have a good time, on the wagon train, on the lake, or riding through the country. Mostly though, he loved his family and friends, whether he was meeting the grandkids at the bus stop or kicked back in his recliner, he always had a warm hug, and a quick quip (generally at the friend's expense) followed by a contagious little laugh, that if you knew him, you can probably hear as you read this.

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Kelly Edwards Carver of Adairsville; children, Bo Carver, Leigh and Joshua Smith, Chad Edwards, Beth Edwards and her daughter, Jazlyn, Landy and Shane Garner and their children, Tristen, Coleden, and Casslin, Maggie Meuesen and her children, Sadie and Oliver, Taylor and Dustin Adair and their children, Bentlee, Hinley, and Ridley, Kalie Carver, and Brody Carver; brother, Howard Carver; sisters, Gail Moore, Martha Bradley, and Janet Carver; mother-in-law, Barbara Woody Edwards; brother-in-law, Bob Edwards; and sister-in-law, Jill Edwards and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
