Mrs. Laura Lane Fields Batchelor, age 45, of 441 E. Pleasant Valley Road, Adairsville, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011, at her parents' residence.

She was born in Cartersville, September 13, 1965, daughter of Stephen and Margie Bell Johnson. She had worked as a truck driver and enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

Survivors include her husband of nine years, Rodney Wilson Batchelor of Adairsville; her parents Stephen and Margie Bell Johnson of Adairsville; a sister, Lisa Fields of Acworth; a half-brother, Shane Fields of Cassville; a special niece and nephew, Stephanie Shaw and Gary Conway; special children, James Shaw, Jr., Ryan Shaw, Jackson Shaw, Kimberlynn Shaw, Christian Shaw, and Lucas Shaw. She was preceded in death by Buddy Fields.

Funeral services will be held Friday (Jan. 7, 2011) at 2:00 PM from Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Lanier Abernathy and Rev. Randy Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Kingston. Pallbearers will be Ronald Dickerson, Barry Keykendall, Butch Conway, Alan Shaw, Dwayne Dickerson, Shane Fields, and Danny Fields.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
