Obituary

Mrs. Laura Mae Harris Coker, age 77, of Old Highway 41, Adairsville passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 17, 1943, in the Folsom Community of Bartow County, Georgia, to the late Carl Edward Harris, Sr. and Vaudie Self Harris. Mrs. Coker was a graduate of Cassville High School Class of 1961. Shortly after graduating she married the love of her life Philip Clent Coker and they were blessed with 8 wonderful children. She was a faithful member of the Adairsville Hall Station Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was dearly loved by her family and friends. She was also loved by neighbors, who commented on how warm and friendly she always was to them when she knocked on their door in her christian ministry. Laura was a calm Mother, she loved fashion and shopping and everyone who knew Laura knew she never left home without her earrings and high heels. Some of her favorite things were watching cooking shows with her boys, gardening and canning, watching movies with her girls, and traveling with her husband. Everyone who knew Laura, said she would light up a room with her laugh and her humor. She always had funny stories to tell, didn't mind at all, laughing at herself. She was always positive, humble and kind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Greig Bushmiaer; sisters, Cecily Harris and Mary Jo Adcock. brothers, Grady Harris, Frank Harris, Carl Harris, Jr., and John Roy Harris;

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Philip Clent Coker; children, Greg Coker, Michelle (Harvey) Herod, Anita (Jackie) Earwood, Rena (Rick) Morris, Brent (Kim) Coker, Jennifer (Allan) Willoughby, Sharon (Jorg) Hofmann, and Lesley (Joey) Jarrard; grandchildren, Loren Ross Herod, Mellie Wren (Guy) Starrett, Karen (Andrew) Bagley, Rachel Barton, Anna Bushmiaer, Elliot Harris, Devin Harris, Aleah Coker, Alaina Willoughby, Makayla (David) Honea, Dallas Hofmann, Willow Hofmann, Collin Jarrard, and Cansas Jarrard; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mickey Jane McClure, Clara Moran, Nellie Ann Clark, Ruthie Jewell, and Ruby Register; and several nieces and nephews.

A virtual Celebration of Laura's Life will be held via Zoom on April 17 th 2021, at 2:00PM.
