Obituary
Mr. Leonard B. Newman, age 92, of Adairsville, GA, formerly of Wall, NJ, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013.
He was born in West Belmar, NJ, January 2, 1921, son of the late Arthur and Nola Morris Newman. Mr. Newman was a veteran of the U. S. Army having proudly served with the 1264th Army Air Force Division in North Africa during World War II. He was an employee with the Jersey Central Power and Light Company for 35 years, retiring in 1982. Mr. Newman was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dudley Newman.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth T. Newman of Adairsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard Newman and Kelly Quabeck of Wall, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and George Wagner of Adairsville; and 4 grandsons, Craig Wagner of Vinings, GA, Chris Wagner of Atlanta, GA, Thomas Newman of Wall, NJ, and Matthew Newman of Wall, NJ.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 1:30 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery, in Canton, with full military grave rites. Rev. Jeff Grubbs will be officiating.
