Mrs. Linda Dawkins King, age 79, of Adairsville passed away peacefully Thursday, March 20, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born in Cartersville, GA, July 17, 1945, daughter of the late James Carson Dawkins and Ina Ruth Dawkins. Mrs. King was also preceded in death by her brother, Bud Dawkins. She was a long-time member of Atco Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed flowers and volunteering with meals on wheels. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Roy King, Sr.; sons, Roy King, Jr. and wife Teresa and Charles King and wife Deborah; grandchildren, Jesse King and wife, Marie, Jeremy King and wife Lexuss, and Tyler King and wife Rachel; great-grandchildren, Ella and Langston; twin sister, Brenda Anderson and husband Charles; special niece, Tammy Bennett.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 1:00PM until 3:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville. Funeral services will follow at 3:00PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, with Rev. Ronnie Cowart. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be Jesse King, Jeremy King, Tyler King, Tony Smith, Collin Bennett and Michael McKoy.
