Linda Ann Smith Scott

Mrs. Linda Ann Smith Scott, age 78, of Kennesaw, passed away April 26, 2026, at her residence.

Linda was born in Adairsville, GA, July 31, 1947, daughter of the late Louise Sherffield Smith and Edward Bradley Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Sammy Smith and Edward Smith.

Survivors include her beloved sons, Greg Scott and wife Meggie and Wesley Scott and wife Jaimie; grandchildren, Brittany Karneol and husband Max, Bradley Scott and wife Sydney, Austin Scott, and Caleigh Scott; great-grandchildren, Cade Karneol, Eli Scott, and two more on the way, Graham Karneol and baby Scott; sister-in-law, Nancy Smith; several nieces, nephews, and many children she loved as her own.

Linda was a faithful member of Kennesaw First Baptist and the proud owner and operator of Scott Trucking Company, a family business she faithfully ran since 1971. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family was truly her whole world. Linda took great pride in her home, always keeping a beautifully manicured yard and decorating her house with care and elegance. She was a phenomenal cook, known for meals that brought loved ones together, and she found joy in crocheting, creating pieces that will be cherished for years to come. Above all, Linda had the biggest heart—she loved deeply and welcomed many as her own, leaving a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know her.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Perry Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Oothcalooga Baptist Church Cemetery. Linda’s family will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
