Mrs. Mary Lois Pelfrey Bragg, age 86, of 109 College Street, Adairsville, passed away Wednesday, October 5, at Gordon Health Care, Calhoun.

She was born in Bartow County, February 19, 1925, daughter of the late David Baxter Pelfrey and Mary Etta Ridley Pelfrey. Mrs. Bragg was a member of the First Christian Church and loved having "get-togethers" and cooking for her family. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing and flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert Nathan Bragg; 4 brothers, James Woodrow Pelfrey, Samuel David Pelfrey, Jesse William Pelfrey, and John Grady Pelfrey.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann (Charles) Tow of Adairsville; son, Hubert Wayne (Jackie) Bragg of Adairsville; grandson, Christopher Edward (Britnee) Tow of Adairsville; granddaughter, April Denise (Brent) Stepp of Calhoun; grandson, Reginald Wayne (Alishia) Bragg of Adairsville; great-grandchildren, Jake, Sam and Ben Tow, Kelan, Sophie and Jasper Stepp, and McKinley Bragg; 2 sisters and a special brother-in-law, Julia Ruth (Harold, Sr) Pelfrey Dale and Eva Mae Pelfrey Fossett, both of Adairsville; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Minister Danny Pelfrey officiating. Mrs. Julie Stephens will provide a musical selection. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville.

Pallbearers will be Frank Fossett, Jr., Harold Dale, Jr., Reggie Bragg, Danny Fossett, Raiden Parker, and Jerry Bragg.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
