Mr. Lonnie Edward "Eddie" Moss, age 87, of Erwin Hill Church Road, Adairsville, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017.

Mr. Moss was born in Talking Rock, GA, on July 30, 1929, son of the late Omer G. Moss and Della Smith Moss. Mr. Moss was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and past member of the American Legion. He retired from Plant Bowen and enjoyed reminiscing about his time there. A talented keyboard player, he could play anything by ear. Mr. Moss was preceded in death by his brothers, Charlie, Weldon, and Elmer Moss.

Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Moss of Adairsville; daughter and son–in-law, Lonelle and Martin Ripley of Decatur; granddaughters, Marti and Bill Aaron of Marietta and Julie and Chris Evans of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren, Ruth Aaron, Will Aaron, Grady Evans, and Charles Evans; sister, Eva Cook of Tucker; stepdaughter, Patti Williams of Adairsville; dearest friend, Gene Howard of Cartersville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Cartersville.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.

In Lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to the Oothcaolooga Baptist Church care of the youth group.
