Mrs. Mae Camp Carver, 86, of Parkway Drive, Adairsville passed away Monday evening, October 27, 2014 at the residence.
Mrs. Carver was born in Adairsville, Georgia, December 1, 1927, daughter of the late Robert Lee Camp and Pearl Wright Camp. She recently became a member of Mountain View Baptist Church, Thomaston, but was a member of Snow Springs Baptist Church for many years. She was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by all of her family. Mrs. Carver is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, H.B. Camp, Clifford Camp, Pete Camp, and Buck Camp; sisters, Mattie Lee Dutton, Lois Freeman, and Lula Smith.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Rev. D. Clinton Carver a long time resident of Hermitage Subdivision near Shannon; children, James E. "Jimmy" Carver and his wife, Carolyn of Maryville; TN, Joyce Carver Hightower and her husband, Danny of Scottsville; Martha Carver Rogers and husband, Michael of Zebulon; and Dabney "Dab" Carver, Jr. and his wife, Sharon of Newnan; sister, Hattie Bell Camp Dutton of Adairsville; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014, at 4:30 PM Snow Springs Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. Cheyenne Russell and Rev. Jim Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 3:30 PM until 4:30 PM on Thursday. Pallbearers include Scot Carver, David Carver, Christopher Hightower, Andy Hightower, William Smith, and Hugh Camp.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
