Mrs. Mamie Lou Self Dinning, 95, of Highway 140, NW, Adairsville passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013.

Mrs. Dinning was born in Sonoraville, Georgia, September 23, 1918, daughter of the late William Henry Self and Jewell Day Self. She was the eldest member of Ooothcalooga Baptist Church. Mrs. Dinning was an amazing seamstress, avid canner, and enjoyed being with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Thomas Glenn Dinning.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lorene and Jack Willis of Adairsville; son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Betty Dinning of Adairsville; 5 grandchildren, Al and Lonnita Willis, George and Judy Dinning, Amber and John Schrader, Kathy and Brian Pugsley, and James and Sandy Johnson; 13 great-grandchildren and 23 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers include Al Willis, Kam Willis, Brian Bunce, George Dinning, Danny Mealer, and Donnie Mealer. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Oothcalooga Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
