Obituary
Mrs. Margie Bell Johnson, age 66, of Hill Street, Adairsville, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Cartersville Medical Center.
She was born in Bartow County, GA, April 8, 1950, daughter of the late John R. Bell, SR and Thelma Tidwell Bell. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. After years of making delicious biscuits at Dandy Bob's she became known as the "Biscuit Lady". She enjoyed cooking, playing a good hand of rummy, and going fishing. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Laura Fields Batchelor; brothers, Harrison, Kenneth, Harold, John, and Vernon Bell; sister, Gwendolyn Bell.
Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years, Stephen Johnson of Adairsville; daughter, Lisa Turner of Adairsville; grandchildren, Stephanie (Allan) Shaw and Gary Conway, JR; great-grandchildren, James, Ryan, Jackson, Kimberlynn, Christian, Lucas, Kaelynn, Connor, and Kalyssa; sister, Teresa (John) Thurman of AL; brother, Clifford (Florence) Bell of Emerson, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 2, 2016 at 3:00 PM from Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers include Gary Conway, Jr, Joey Bell, Vernon Bell Jr, David Johnson, Andrew Blankenship, and Jeff Smith. Honorary pallbearers include, Gary "Butch" Conway, Sr and Ronnie Johnson.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
