Obituary
Mrs. Margieree Franklin "Babe" Pruitt, age 90, of 226 LaFayette Highway, Rocky Face, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL.
She was born in Ducktown, TN, October 26, 1921, daughter of the late John Gilbert and Myrtle Weaver Pruitt. She was a member of Dewey Baptist Church in White, GA, and had been employed at Lockheed-Martin Aircraft for fourteen years. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Hugh Clifton Pruitt.
Survivors include a son, Colin Douglas Franklin of NC; 3 brothers, Harold Gilbert Pruitt of Centre, AL, Herman Everett Pruitt of Centre, AL, and Herbert A. Pruitt, Sr., of Rocky Face; a sister Billie Sue Russell of Centre, AL; 2 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM from Dewey Baptist Church Cemetery, White, with Rev. E. C. Chatham and Rev. Billy Wilson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Herbert Pruitt, Jr., Scott Adams, Clipper Smith, Mark Ridley, Bo Pruitt, and Buddy Pruitt.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Dewey Baptist Church at 641 Old Cass-White Road, NE, Cartersville, GA, 30121.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, is in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Margieree Franklin Pruitt.
