Mrs. Marie O'Tinger Wooten, age 68, of Plantation Road, Adairsville passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the residence.

Mrs. Wooten was born inCrossville, AL July 19, 1946, daughter of the late Ira Oscar O'Tinger, Jr. and Pearlie Jewel Smith O'Tinger. She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wooten was a talented floral designer and also enjoyed painting. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Thomas Wooten; sister, Doris O'Tinger and sister-in-laws, Hazel O'Tinger, Ester Layfield, Zelma Arrington, and Nancy O'Tinger.

Survivors include her sons, Allen Jerry Wooten, Kevin Thomas Wooten, and Joseph Lee Wooten all of Adairsville; daughter, Karen Marie Wooten of Adairsville; son-in-law, Christopher Michael Britt of Adairsville; grandchildren, Kayla Nichole Wooten and Billy McKinsey Wooten of Calhoun; 3 brothers, Jimmy, Charles and Doug O'Tinger; sister, Jeanette Petrey and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Adairsville with her son, Allen Wooten and brother, Rev. Jimmy O'Tinger officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Cowart, Jaden Cowart, Brandon O'Tinger, Michael O'Tinger, Ben Arrington, and Leslie O'Tinger.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
