Obituary

Mrs. Marilyn Yvonne Coplin, age 80, of Ward Mountain Road, Adairsville, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at the residence.

Mrs. Coplin was born in the Hall Station Community, Adairsville, November 23, 1934, daughter of the late Leonard Ottis Lockridge and Mary Eliza Kerr Lockridge. She was of the Christian faith and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Next to her love for the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her church, her husband and children were the love of her life. She led an active life including being a Brownie Girl Scout Leader, member of the Homemakers Club, Senior Citizens group, and Murphy Harpst Auxiliary in Cedartown. Mrs. Coplin also helped give birthdays parties for the folks at the Cartersville Heights Rehab & Health Care Center for over thirty-five years along with other activities. She worked publicly part-time but always had time for her family and friends. She enjoyed singings as well as Bible study and worship services. One of her highlights was going on cruises. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a great cook and enjoyed crafts, sewing, and crocheting. Mrs. Coplin really enjoyed all of God's creation, especially flowers, humming birds, butterflies, and her various pets.
