Mrs. Marilyn Ward Farr, age 80, of Adairsville, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020, with her family at her side.

She was born in Adairsville, Georgia, February 7, 1940, daughter of the late Troy Odell Ward and Mildred Herndon Ward. She was a member of The Church at Liberty Square and a devout woman of faith. Over the years Marilyn enjoyed working at various places. She was a school bus driver and safety director for Bartow County Schools for several years, after retiring she enjoyed working at Elite Jewelry and Fashion and the Adairsville Florist. A talented seamstress, she loved sewing items for her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother whose memory will be cherished. Mrs. Farr was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Lowell Farr; brothers, Wendell Ward and John Daniel "Danny" Ward; sisters, Edrice Ward and Milva Williamson.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Tammy Farr, Darryl and Karen Farr, and Lamar and Lisa Farr; daughter and son-in-law, Jacki and Wes Thacker; grandchildren, Houston Farr, Shelbi Farr, Candice and Jason Broce, Caylen and Jason Celler, Jessie Farr, and Wesley Thacker; great-grandchildren, Beau Broce, Jack Broce, and Haven Paradise; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 4, 2020, at 2:00pm from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Mr. Fred Painter officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Adairsville. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00am until 2:00pm at Barton Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Ronnie Farr, Darryl Farr, Lamar Farr, Houston Farr, Wesley Thacker, Phillip Furrow, and Jerry Hoover.

Family and friends attending services will be required to wear face mask and observe social distancing.
